Plymouth Raiders - Our Team
The Plymouth Raiders are one of the UK's premier basketball teams, and play in the British Basketball League (BBL).
The Raiders began competing in English national league competitions in 1983, and were promoted to the BBL in 2004. Home games are played at the Plymouth Pavilions.
Family-Friendly Fun
One of the things that makes a Raiders game so much fun is the friendly atmosphere. It's unusual these days to find a sporting event that you can bring your kids to. When you look around a Plymouth Raiders game you'll see adults and children of every age enjoying the fast-moving sports, music and stunts.
The Raidercoach Academy
The Raidercoach Academy was started in 1997 and concentrates on coaching and developing educational skills in schools and the community throughout Devon and Cornwall. Each year, we reach in excess of 15,000 school children.
The academy uses Raiders BBL players and coaches to promote not only the game of basketball, but initiatives such as a healthy lifestyle, anti bullying, anti racism, and anti drugs.
